Value and Pricing

Lower Construction Cost

Structures built with Pre-cast and tilt-up concrete panels costs up to 25% more than our SCIP's and do not offer our superior insulation properties. Concrete block walls with comparable insulation properties and interior finishes also cost more than our SCIP's. Structures built to withstand hurricanes with wood frame and Brick exteriors cost approximately the same as our SCIP's but have none of the advantages of our system (strength, durability, insulation, etc).

Reduced Construction Period Interest

By eliminating multiple trades needed in a traditional wall, structures can be erected in less time of a framed/masonry unit building. Time lag from purchase order to site delivery is reduced with our System. For example, the time lag from ordering Pre-Cast Panels to delivery is up to 16 weeks. We can reduce this lag time by up to 10 weeks. This also helps if speed to market is critical. By reducing time to completion, construction period interest is minimized.

Example: $3,000,000 at 8% for 10 weeks equals $46,154 in savings.

Energy Efficiency

Super insulated foam cores of the SCIP provide from R16.8 in a 4-inch core to over R40 in a 10-inch core. The performance is much greater due to the sandwich panel design and thermal mass concept. Heating and cooling costs are thus reduced. With high energy costs which are expected to continually rise in the future, this can mean thousands of dollars of HVAC savings over the life of the structure, a great selling point to future users generating higher demand and savings to occupants and owners.

Reduced Maintenance and Life Cycle Costs

Our SCIP's reduce maintenance and repair costs over the life of the structure providing lower life cycle costs during occupancy. After a severe weather event, our structure will still be standing reducing repair and replacement costs as well as having the convenience of being back in your home more quickly.

Strength

The Envirolast walls have a fire rating of over two hours and can withstand hurricane force winds, impact damage from weather events, earthquakes and other damage from accidents. As a result, replacement costs for catastrophic events and accidents are minimized.

Reduced Insurance Costs

With the superior fire rating and storm survival properties, the cost of insuring the structure should be reduced, especially in severe weather areas. We can reduce the wind pool insurance costs by up to 70% per year allowing the buyer purchase more house and not pay the insurance company outrageous charges.

Pricing

Our pricing is dependant on design, structural and size conditions. Normally, our completed product is lower in construction cost than comparably finished:

  • Concrete block walls
  • Tilt up concrete panels
  • Precast concrete panels
  • Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF's)
  • Wood frame with brick veneer

When comparing our Met-Rock SCIP's to other wall systems, it is important to remember our SCIP's encompass:

  • Load bearing structure
  • High insulation
  • Interior Finish
  • Exterior Finish
  • Valuable life cycle performance attributes such as fire rating, strength, durability, lower life cycle, and replacement costs

Our cost can be competitive with other walls systems not mentioned above when compared apples to apples.
